Construction of a two-level car park with 630 spaces in Veneux-les-Sablons
Subject to public building regulations.
Construction of the car park at Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons railway station (on line R of the Greater Paris suburban train network). The project consists in building a 630-space above-ground car park on the basis of a steel-frame decking system. The new car park will be built on the site of the existing one, along the platforms of Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station.
With more than 3500 passengers using trains calling at Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons station (SE of Paris) every day, parking management company Effia, the French railway company SNCF and the Greater Paris public transport agency STIF decided to build a new two-level car park offering 630 spaces.
The project design features a combination of concrete materials with a steel structure and a corrugated floating steel latticework cladding in shades of green, to blend in harmoniously with its immediate and wider surroundings. The addition of orange (Effia’s signature colour) provides a contrasting colour and serves to guide drivers to the entrance. This car park ties in with a comprehensive project to modernise and develop the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons public transport hub.
